Im getting Married!

Yes I'm getting married-- in the great polka state of Pennsylvania-- and since it's the end of OktoBEERfest why not have a party to celebrate!?

Saturday October 15th – 9pm til midnight. I'm getting married!!

Not only will we be Oktoberfesting, but we’ll also be celebrating my upcoming marriage to my lovely fiancée Laura! And we'll also be celebrating Dandy Don’s brother Dean Hedeker’s 50th birthday! It’s sure to be a very celebratory and FUN evening as the Oktoberfest continues in this great neighborhood bar in West Lakeview, and then I'm off to Las Vegas for a week and then Maui for a week! I'll be back for more polka in November.

But before I go I hope you can come to our DANK Haus show on the 8th.
Saturday October 8th – Niedersachsen Club/DANK Chicago Oktoberfest
DANK Haus, 4740 North Western Avenue. $10.  Funs starts at 6pm
Two bands will be playing on two floors simultaneously at the Historic DANK Haus - the German-American "Paloma Band" will be in the main ballroom and we’ll be up in the Skyline Lounge!

It's our favorite time of year--OKTOBERFEST!!

Saturday September 17th – Sheffield's, 4-8 pm - OKTOBERFEST show

$1 tasters of some of our favorite oktoberfests and fall brews, as well as some very tasty traditional German cuisine at this merry event.

Friday Friday September 23rd - West Lincoln Park Oktoberfest 5:30p to 7p
On Southport, Just South of the Clybourn and Southport Intersection.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce

Saturday September 24th – St. Michael's Oktoberfest 3pm to 6pm
St. Michael's Church, 1633 N. Cleveland Ave., near North and Wells.

Extreme Polka weekend was extreme!! What else can I say?
Friday night's show was sold out.
Saturday Polkacide sold over $1100 worth of T-Shirts.
Sunday's Taste of Polonia was the best show ever!!

Thank you to everyone that came to these shows. Let's hope that it does not take another 3 years to have Polkacide and The Polkaholics play together again!
