A Bare Naked Sucess!
For those of you that could not get yourselves up at the crack of dawn to listen The Polkaholics@ and The Bare Naked Ladies perform live on The Eric and Kathy Show this morning on The Mix- 101.9 FM WTMX, you are in luck! As the show will be rebroadcast in it's entirety tonight at 9:00pm CST, and you can see the pictures here
We had to be at the Sofitel Hotel before the crack of dawn to be ready to polka for the masses at 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. along with The Bare Naked Ladies. It was a Helluva lot of fun and Id like to say THANKS to Swany from The Eric and Kathy show for having us on again.
The Bare Naked Ladies drummer was extremely cool, and Jackson and he had a "drum off" while we were off the air. Too bad we don't have a recording of that!! and he came over to talk with us about life on the road and getting up so damn early to play a show. It was for a good cause however- as the show today helped raise over $11,000 for charity.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the show and to all of you that took the time to find out about The Polkaholics® and we hope to see you at our next show

To ease the seasonal time demands, we are hosting a FREE holiday party
combining polka, bowling, beer drinking, and gift buying all in one night!
Besides playing three sets of people-pleasing polka with our usual merry antics (we’ll be playing some holiday chestnuts including “I'm Dreaming of a Polka Christmas,” “Sausage and Sauerkraut for Santa,” “Yakov the Polka Reindeer”).
Author Jonathan Stockton will be on hand to sign and sell copies of his recently-published “Chicago’s Best Dive Bars: Drinking and Diving in the Windy City.” This amazing guidebook “provides the lowdown on where to find the cheapest drinks, the scariest crowds, the coolest jukeboxes and everything else that makes a dive bar dive” – in other words, the perfect holiday gift! We'll also be selling copies of our CDs and t-shirts at the show. What person wouldn’t be super excited to find a copy of “Chicago’s Dive Bars” or a Polkaholic CD in their Christmas stocking? These fine gifts sure beat a partridge in a pear tree! So, c'mon and join us for this Special Holiday show at our favorite bowling alley!
