Clear Lake, IA
We all know Clear Lake, Iowa is the home of the Surf Ballroom, however it is also home to several HUGE wind mills. To get an idea of the scale of these things- that's my dad looking at the controls (mmm HIGHLY ILLEGAL) and my girlfriend looking at him.
There are hundreds of these things dotting the landscape- they are actually quite beautiful.
