We all know Clear Lake, Iowa is the home of the Surf Ballroom, however it is also home to several HUGE wind mills. To get an idea of the scale of these things- that's my dad looking at the controls (mmm HIGHLY ILLEGAL) and my girlfriend looking at him. There are hundreds of these things dotting the landscape- they are actually quite beautiful.

I used to play bass in Big Wow, and in a band called "cased" which was basically the same band. Anyhoo I always like these series of picts from the two bands so I put them up here. I would call this "rawk shots"
An in case anyone is interested- "cased" recorded with HUM guitarist Matt Talbott in Novemebr of 02- he's a great guy and HUM was one of my all time fave bands.
